Perkins is a subsidiary of Caterpillar inc. Made in the USA with pride. In fact if I were to say that they have similar engines that would be an understatement. These units are no frills, hard working Diesel generators powered by Perkins engines and coupled with Mecc-Alte brushless alternators; the only name brand currently available in the US that is not produced in China. Occasionally we use Stamford Newage or Marathon if Mecc-Alte is not available.
