Catalyst Performance


There are millions of vehicles, tractors, commercial transportation buses and so on that are in production and that are active in the United States, and each one is a source of air pollution. Especially in large cities, the amount of pollution that all the cars produce together can create big problems. To solve those problems, cities, states and the federal government create clean-air laws that restrict the amount of pollution that cars can produce. Over the years, automakers have made many refinements to car, truck, generator even tractor engines and fuel systems to keep up with these laws. One of these changes came about in 1975 with an interesting device called a catalytic converter. The job of the catalytic converter is to convert harmful pollutants into less harmful emissions before they ever leave the­ exhaust system.

Cross-Flow Catalyst (CFC) is a high performance cross flow catalytic filter designed to replace traditional ceramic based wall-flow filters (DPFs).  

This revolutionary catalyst is designed to allow diesel engines working in off-road and on-road applications to meet all current and future OSHA, MSHA, Euro, EPA and CARB emission requirements.

This catalyst and its housing is designed from high-grade 304 stainless steel with a 200 CPSI (cell density) that promotes high emission reductions in DPM, CO and HC while at the same time providing minimal increases to back pressure (< 3” wc).  This catalyst is available in our Inline, Flanged, QuickCat and Muffler designs
